Murat Gür Sultar
Architect | Visual Artist | Researcher
Barcelona, Spain
Murat Gür Sultar is an architect and researcher working at the intersection of geology, visual culture, and critical urbanism. His multidisciplinary academic trajectory spans Architecture, Art and Critical Contextual Design, with earlier studies in Civil Engineering across Istanbul, Delft, and Barcelona.
His practice investigates deep time, geological identity, material memory, and the politics of preservation. Through artifacts, spatial research, and visual inquiry, he examines how territories construct self-images — and how these narratives obscure extraction, commodification, and ecological transformation.
