This artistic research project considers quarries not as a mere backdrop, but as post-human monuments where geology, industry, and geological time are compressed into a single exhibition surface.
It focused on the materials that shape the landscape of Murcia at multiple scales: from fossils and archaeological artifacts to microscopic images of quarry stones.
Displayed in front of a long window, the public engaged in a dialogue with the landscape of the Ricote Valley, that was the origin of the pieces that formed the exhibition.
The information section included scientific papers and an artist's book composed of landscapes of historical quarries in Sierra Minera mining region.
This project was developed in collaboration with the curator Elena V. Molina.
