Planted Tickets is an ongoing artistic research project investigating the material and temporal traces left by visitors on the natural landscape of Barcelona’s public parks, particularly Park Güell and Montjuïc. Centering on the agave leaves and cacti inscribed with tourist names, the project explores the friction between the fleeting nature of tourism and the slow, living temporality of the natural world.
Spanning photography, object installation, and editioned prints, the research has materialized into three distinct series created for different exhibition contexts.
The first serie "Stripping Off The Touristic Layer" focused in isolating the tourist mark from its botanical substrate.
It includes seven photographs paired with twelve glass overlays, tracing the names and inscriptions found on agave leaves at Park Güell. It also includes an artist book with a catalog of more than 100 engraved leaves.
It was presented at "Layers of a City" exhibition at Ha.aH Art Space, Barcelona.
Color prints on paper, permanent marker on glass, intervened picture frames (Variable dimensions)
